Naomi Halpern, M.Ed.
Naomi Halpern began her career as an elementary school teacher where she discovered a passion for inventing new ways to make math fun for kids -- especially the kids who found it most challenging.  Her first educational math game Kingdom of Wisdom, was published by Tom Snyder Productions (TSP).

Naomi went to work for TSP as a product development author for many years (where she met her friend Annette LeBlanc Cate) before staying home to raise her two boys. Recently, she worked as a math tutor for kindergarten and found that many suffered from low "math-esteem" and lacked a basic understanding of numbers. This became her inspiration for the creation of Zero & Friends.

Annette LeBlanc Cate
worked on many educational products for TSP including the children's animated show "Science Court" which aired on ABC and was the art director for the Peabody-award winning Comedy Central show "Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist.”

Annette is a mother of two and a long-time illustrator for Cobblestone, Cricket, and Spider magazines as well as author and illustrator of The Magic Rabbit, (Candlewick Press). In addition to developing story boards and character designs for the Zero & Friends music videos, Annette is currently working on her second book for Candlewick.
